Rajiv Ranjan is a Senior Executive Vice President and Treasurer at M&T Bank. In this role, Ranjan oversees the bank’s Treasury Division, including Asset / Liability Management, Interest Rate Risk, Funding, Investment and Derivative Portfolio Management, Capital Adequacy, Modeling, and other related functions.
Ranjan also serves on a number of Corporate Committees, including the Market Liquidity Capital Risk Committee and the Capital Management Committee. Outside his role with M&T Bank, Ranjan is a Board Member of the Buffalo Zoo.
Ranjan joined M&T in 2004 and has held several leadership positions in finance and risk disciplines, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Planning, and Financial Planning and Analysis. Most recently, he led M&T’s Capital Planning and Management function responsible for the development, governance, and oversight of M&T’s capital adequacy assessment and stress testing. Prior to joining M&T Bank, Ranjan worked as a senior consultant at Oracle Corporation.
Ranjan has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is a CFA® charter holder.
