Michael Keegan is Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Community Banking for M&T Bank where he is responsible for defining and driving market-level engagement strategies across the enterprise, ensuring the bank delivers in ways that make sense in each of the communities the Bank serves.

Since joining M&T in 1994, Keegan has held a number of roles including commercial area executive and regional president for the Capital Region and Hudson Valley. Before joining M&T he held positions at HSBC, Fleet Bank and Farm Credit Bank.

Keegan graduated from the University of Massachusetts and earned his MBA from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Committed to the community, Keegan sits on the boards of the New York State Charter Advisory Board, Retail Council Services Corp., and Smiley Brothers.

- Keegan resides with his wife, Mary, in Guilderland, NY. They have three children.
