As the Head of Institutional Services and Equipment Finance for M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust, Jennifer Warren brings decades of experiences in professional services, technology, and banking. Jennifer has an extensive track record of enacting transformative change, crafting revenue-enhancing market strategies, and developing organizational structures to meet risk and business growth expectations.
During her career, Jennifer has led her teams through both periods of extended global crisis and outsized growth and has brought her varied experiences to bear serving on multiple public and private boards in the U.S. and Canada.
Jennifer began her career as a business lawyer and rose to become a senior executive of Rogers Communications – one of the world’s largest technology and communications companies. In that role, she was a key member of the senior deal team and worked directly with company founder Ted Rogers for a decade structuring multiple acquisitions, financings, and the first-ever launch of broadband internet access in Canada.
From there, she became General Counsel of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and, later, became President and CEO of CIBC’s U.S. operations. While there, she led teams across North America navigating the challenges of the global financial crisis and re-positioned the US business – including broker-dealer operations, wealth management, corporate banking, real estate finance, and capital markets — for both organic and inorganic growth.
Before joining Wilmington Trust in 2022, Jennifer served as CEO of Computershare’s North American Issuer Services business, providing shareholder services to more than 6,000 public companies, overseeing a team of 425, and generating annual revenue of $400 million.
At M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust, Jennifer leads an experienced team of industry professionals -- providing trust, custody, and agency services to corporations, government agencies, foundations, and investment plans in the U.S. and Europe.
Jennifer believes serving others is a privilege and has been a longstanding supporter of the United Way in both the U.S. and Canada. She is a current member of the board of directors of the United Way of New York City.
Born and raised in Canada, Jennifer earned both her undergraduate and Law degrees from the University of Toronto.
