M&T Bank PA Employees Roll Up Their Sleeves for Their Community
Habitat for Humanity of Berks County Volunteer Site

Every town has caring organizations with limited resources and people in need. When the need arises, M&T Bank employees across Pennsylvania are willing to help out.

A group of employees recently worked with Habitat for Humanity of Berks County in Reading, PA as “muckers.” They spent the day in the basement of a home on 4th and Elm Street, filling in the cracks between the stone and cement. It was hard, messy work, but the M&T team had the satisfaction of knowing that their work was essential in providing housing to a family in need.

Occupational Services, Inc. Volunteer Site

In Chambersburg, M&T employees in the Franklin / Carlisle region team built a rock retaining wall at Occupational Services, Inc. (OSI), a vocational rehabilitation program that helps individuals with disabilities be productive through work opportunities that match their abilities. The rock wall beautification project echoes OSI’s mission to help each individual achieve their highest potential.

Jewish Community Center Volunteer Site

Another project undertaken by M&T volunteers took place in Dallas, PA. Employees spent a day with the local Jewish Community Center to help prepare their facility for summer camp. They cleaned the gymnasium, removed debris from the parking lot and mulched the flower beds.
