Recognition underscores M&T’s ongoing commitment to Delaware’s small business community

M&T Bank has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Delaware District Office for its outstanding service to Delaware.  

M&T was honored with two first place awards for generating the largest number of 7(a) loans (53 in total) and as the top Third Party Lender participating in the SBA 504 Loan program at the SBA’s annual “Celebrate Success” Delaware Small Business Awards dinner. 

This recognition once again demonstrates M&T Bank’s steadfast commitment to small business lending in Delaware. M&T is the leading U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) lender in many of the bank’s large markets, including the SBA Districts of Baltimore, Buffalo, Delaware, Philadelphia, Syracuse and the District of Columbia. M&T also ranks the sixth largest SBA lender in the nation, based on the total number of loans made through the SBA’s most utilized loan program.

In commenting on the awards, President of M&T Bank's Delaware Region Nick Lambrow said, “Small to mid-sized businesses are an important engine for economic growth and job creation. Supporting their success has always been an important part of M&T's mission, and we look forward to continuing that support and helping our small business community thrive.”

M&T was honored at the annual SBA Delaware “Celebrate Success” event on May 5, 2015 at the DuPont Country Club.
