M&T Bank Enlists Ravens Stars Haloti Ngata and Ray Rice
PR Newswire

BALTIMORE, Aug. 30, 2011 -- Baltimore Ravens stars Haloti Ngata and Ray Rice worked at an M&T branch as honorary customer service representatives to kick off their roles in the "raise the green flag" campaign for M&T Bank this fall. The pair will star in M&T's new multi-faceted Ravens Checking advertising campaign.

Rice, a Pro Bowl running back, returns for his second season with M&T's campaign. Ngata, a Pro Bowl defensive tackle, is joining M&T for the first time.

Both will appear in a campaign that includes TV, print, radio and online advertisements, outdoor billboards, branch signage and bus wraps.  The bulk of the advertisements will begin to appear in early September and will continue through the fall.

"Our partnership with Ray and Haloti brings an added level of excitement to M&T's role as the official bank of the Ravens," said Atwood "Woody" Collins III, President of M&T Bank's Mid-Atlantic Division. "Both are outstanding athletes and good citizens who are involved in the community. M&T Bank is also involved in a range of initiatives to strengthen the community. We're looking forward to a great relationship with Haloti and Ray."

The Ravens Checking Package, available beginning Sept. 3, includes:

  • Free Ravens Check Card
  • Free Ravens stadium blanket
  • Up to a $100 cash bonus with direct deposit

"Ravens fans have been great to me and I'm glad to work with M&T to promote these excellent offers for Ravens fans," Rice said. "You can really sense the excitement at M&T. Everyone is really geared up for this season -- it's going to be a great ride."

"It's a lot of fun to work with M&T," Ngata said. "M&T is the Ravens' biggest partner, and I'm really enjoying working with them in promoting their new Ravens offer."

M&T is a financial holding company with  $77.7 billion in assets, whose banking subsidiaries, M&T Bank and M&T Bank, National Association operate retail and commercial bank branches in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, the District of Columbia and Ontario, Canada.
