Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. and M&T Bank Corporation announced today that they have agreed to extend the date after which either party may elect to terminate their Agreement and Plan of Merger from April 30, 2015 to October 31, 2015 pursuant to Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement and Plan of Merger.

Wi-Fi Planned for Downtown Buffalo

M&T Bank is leading an effort to engineer, purchase and install an outdoor, public Wi-Fi network for downtown Buffalo in partnership with Mayor Byron Brown, the City of Buffalo and the University at Buffalo. The service, which will be ready for public use this summer, will have more than 30 hotspot access points along Main Street from North Street to Canalside and the Erie Basin Marina.
