Chief Risk Officer

Neeraj Singh is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for M&T Bank, where he is responsible for risk management strategy, governance, and relationships with the company’s regulators and supervisory agencies. He serves as a member of M&T’s Enterprise Leadership Team and Risk Committee of the Board.

Previously, Singh was CRO for USAA where he oversaw the association’s enterprise management and compliance functions. Prior to this role, he served as CRO for the U.S. Consumer Bank and Head of Global Consumer Risk Modeling at Citi, and also led Citi’s Global Consumer Bank Risk Modeling Utility. Earlier roles included various risk, finance, and decision management roles at Citi, and leadership roles at TD Bank and Barclays.

Singh holds an MBA from the University of Maryland with a concentration in finance and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in India. Singh also completed the Advanced Risk Management Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
