August (Augie) Chiasera is M&T Bank’s Head of Service Modernization and leads efforts to accelerate the maturity of the bank’s enterprise-wide servicing capabilities. His responsibilities include identifying and addressing root causes of client and employee service-related issues in order to improve their experience with the bank. He is also a member of M&T’s Political Action Committee and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Committee.
He is also the Regional President for Baltimore, MD, where he works with over 1,200 M&T Bank colleagues in support of our clients and the Greater Baltimore community.
Augie joined M&T Bank as part of the bank’s Executive Associate program in 1993. Since then, he has held multiple leadership positions throughout the organization. Following M&T’s acquisition of Allfirst, Augie led the Small Business Banking division in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. He has also led M&T’s Middle Market and Large Corporate Banking business in Baltimore.
Augie is board chair for the Baltimore Development Corporation, board member and past board chair for Garrison Forest School, and serves on the boards of the Neighborhood Impact Investment Fund, Greater Baltimore Committee, Maryland Economic Development Commission, Roca, Inc., and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
Augie holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University.
