College Park, Md., Feb. 25, 2020—M&T Bank has opened a new, full-service retail bank branch in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union - Center for Campus Life on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park.

 

The new branch – located at 3972 Campus Drive in College Park -- will offer the university’s faculty, staff and nearly 40,500 undergraduate and graduate students traditional banking services, personal financial education and other financial services. The modern and open design of the branch was the result of more than 700 interviews and surveys M&T collected from University of Maryland students last year.

 

The branch inside STAMP will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers also will be able to use the M&T ATM located at the branch or any of the other four M&T ATMs on the school’s campus 24 hours a day.

As part of M&T’s financial services relationship with the university, M&T will sponsor renovation of the Harriet Tubman Conference Room at the student union, where it will provide free financial education workshops to faculty, staff and students as part of its banking program.

 

The bank also will provide support and volunteers to neighboring public school programs in Prince George’s County as part of its sponsorship of America Reads, America Counts and Partners in Print. These initiatives are part of the Leadership and Community Service-Learning program at the University of Maryland.
