M&T Bank Corporation Hires Former U.S. Representative Kathy Hochul

BUFFALO, N.Y.—M&T Bank Corporation (NYSE: MTB)("M&T") announced today the hiring of Kathleen C. “Kathy” Hochul, former U.S. Representative for New York’s 26th Congressional District, as Vice President of Government Relations. 

Hochul will represent the bank in building relationships with local, state and federal government officials. She will work from M&T Bank’s offices at M&T Center in downtown Buffalo.

“Kathy brings a broad range of government knowledge and experience to M&T Bank,” said M&T Bank President Mark J. Prior to serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, Hochul was Erie County Clerk from 2007 to 2011. Her early government experience included positions on the staffs of former U.S. Representative John J. LaFalce and former U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
